The Buzz
Issue date: 11/16/09 Section: Entertainment
FILM: New Moon comes out this Friday, much to the delight of everyone but me. Check out next week's issue for an in-depth review by someone other than me.
DVD: A surprisingly good reboot of the taken-for-dead franchise, J.J. Abrams' Star Trek released this past spring to great reviews and a good run at the box office. Aided by a good young cast, Abrams directs with enough verve and energy to give the DVD a ton of replay value.
MUSIC: Hip-hop artist Z-Ro may not be nationally recognized, but he has one of the most fervent fanbases of any rapper out there. His latest album, Cocaine, might not have the greatest title, but every track is fire.
If you're a fan of hip-hop, you owe it to yourself to give this guy a listen.
TELEVISION: AMC's new heavily hyped remake of the British cult TV series, The Prisoner, stars Jim Caviezel (right) as a man who wakes up in an unrecognizable place called the Village where people have numbers instead of names. Caviezel is named Six, and his co-star, Ian McKellen (better known as Gandalf), the leader of the Village, is Two. Want to find out who One is?
You'll have to tune in on Sunday nights to find out.
