Jacks Rewards is a program designed to allow the athletic department to say "Thank you" to fans.

As you attend games, you accumulate points. At 10 points, you receive a t-shirt, and 20 points gets you an Under Armour duffle bag. A total of 36 points wins you a one-of-a-kind SFA hoodie, and the grand prize is awarded to the individual who attends the most events. A year's supply of free groceries is the grand prize. The prize is worth essentially $1,800, which averages out to be around $150 a month.

"The program is absolutely free for any enrolled students," said Cole Campbell, SFA graduate student. "No tuition or student fees are used to produce this program."

Community support as well as SFA's tech team are key members of the SFA athletic department's marketing efforts through Jacks Rewards. Main Street Salon & Spa, Stone Creek Apartment Complex, Brookshire Brothers, Headliners Sports Bar, Lumberjack Bail Bonds and Commercial Bank are a few Nacogdoches businesses that help sponsor the program.

The concerns raised last year, in the program's first year, have been worked out, according to Campbell. Any enrolled students will be admitted and receive points.

Students who are a part of the newly formed SFA Road Crew squad receive two points when they are in attendance at away games.

The current point leaders are Robert Kidder with 9 points; Jessica Davis and Justin Droddy; last year's grand prize winner, are tied with 7 points.

Last year SFA Soccer, Volleyball and Men's Basketball Programs marked new single game high attendance records.

"Our program has helped increase the attendance at games," Campbell said. "This helps enhance these programs and further their success."

The atmosphere that fans bring to games plays a huge role in how well athletes perform, and Jacks Rewards hopes to encourage further turnout.

"These prizes help get people to the games," Campbell said. "We let the actual game encourage them to come back. The idea is that we get them to check programs out, and they become more interested in the excitement of SFA athletics."

Campbell encourages student fans to look for the Jacks Rewards table the next time they attend any SFA sporting event and to scan their student ID to collect points.
