AE: What is your hometown?
LM: I'm from Fort Worth.

AE: What is your major?
LM: Kinesiology

AE: What do you see yourself doing in five years?
LM: Teaching and coaching for a high school…hopefully.

AE: What is your favorite dessert?
LM: I LOVE peach and blackberry cobbler!

AE: If you weren't running Ladyjack Track what would you be doing?
LM: Going to school, working, and being a lazy individual.

AE: Chicken Express or Raising Canes?
LM: Canes…it's just too expensive…I'd be homeless if I ate there as much as I wanted.

AE: What is your favorite movie?
LM: I have four; 1. The Best Man, 2. A League of Their Own, 3. Love & Basketball, and 4. Steel Magnolias.

AE: Who is the biggest goof ball on the (track) team?
LM: By far Aaron Harlan.

AE: Who exemplifies the best leadership qualities on the team?
LM: Good question…Zach Ross, Katrina Roundtree, Sumbo Adeniran, and of course Leah Matthews.

AE: If you were alone on an island what three things would you take with you?
LM: A Bible, some water, and blackberry cobbler.

AE: What do you play on your iPod or music playing device before you run?
LM: Lil' Wayne-I'm Me

AE: If you could live anywhere in the world, where and why?
LM: Home, because my mother wouldn't make me pay that much…gotta save money.

AE: Would you rather eat 1,000 roaches or rats?
LM: Depends fried or grilled?!? Lol.

AE: What drives you crazy? What pet peeves do you have?
LM: Smacking on gum…learn how to chew quietly!!!

AE: Who are the most influential people in your life?
My parents and Jesus.

AE: If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be?
LM: Oprah

AE: If you could call a meeting of the world to discuss anything, what would it be about and why?
LM: Gas prices!!! They are ridiculous.

I enjoyed reading the article, and of course I'm proud of Leah. She was my Sunday School student. By the way Leah, Steel Magnolias is one of favorites, too. (Continued…)
