SAA to host East Texas Garage Sale

Student Activities Association will present its annual East Texas Garage Sale on Saturday to provide a positive environment where the community and the campus can exchange goods and values.
The event is open to students and the community.
"A major benefit of attending this event ranges from making some extra cash to finding that perfect poster for your apartment," said Kevin Arnold, newly elected SAA president and Fresno, Texas, junior. "The best thing about it is that it is absolutely free, and participants keep everything they make."
Booths are free to any individual who is interested. To reserve a spot simply call SAA at 468-1222 and ask to save a spot for the Garage Sale. Registration begins at 6 a.m., and all participants are encouraged to arrive early to ensure reservation safety.
"The event will be held at the commuter lot and will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. " I love garage sales," said Kodee Zachariah, Houston sophomore. "The shirt I have on right now is from a sale. It's cheap and fun to go to garage sales."
Tables will be provided for free. Students are encouraged to bring everything that they don't use and try and make money.
"I think I will bring some clothes that I don't use to the sale," said Sarah Pierson, Houston senior. "Another man's junk is another man's treasure. I have so much stuff that I need to get rid of (that) this is a perfect opportunity to make money and help others."
SAA asks that you leave all "adult" material, alcohol or weapons at home.
Arnold said the Garage Sale will be a great way to bond with the Nacogdoches community. "Students and the community can participate in one big inclusive event, which brings us all closer together," he said.
