What is the main ingredient to being a good leader?
The main ingredient to being a good leader is being a good follower. Leadership is about understanding the people that you lead and knowing what they think and need is important. One of my favorite leadership quotes is, "I must follow the people. Am I not their leader?" -Benjamin Disraeli.
What advice would you give to students who are interested in getting involved in leadership positions while still at SFA?
I think all students should hold a leadership position in some organization during their college career. We are the future leaders of our communities, our state and our nation and we need to practice leadership as a means of testing our own ability.
What has been the most influential leadership experience in your life?
I would say serving as Student Body President has been the most influential leadership experiences in my life this far. Having the opportunity to represent the whole student body is a task which has many responsibilities. I have learned so much about being a leader and developed my leadership skills.
