Book Sale
Sigma Tau Delta, the honors fraternity for English majors, is hosting its Second Annual Fall Book Sale today in the Baker Patillio Student Center in front of the Bleeker Street dining area. The sale will feature books donated by students, faculty, staff and members of the Nacogdoches community.
"We have many, many books," said Nicole DeBruler, Katy senior and collector for the sale. "We have hard back collections of Shakespeare to horror, non-fiction, self-help, humor, and even the book '1001 Uses for Duct Tape.' There's everything from Faulkner and Henry James to Duct Tape."
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 15.
24 hour food drive
The time for giving thanks and good will is upon us, and Omega Delta Phi, a campus service fraternity is doing their part to support the community. A 24-hour food drive is taking place in front of Wal-Mart from 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 ,to support those individuals who may be less fortunate this season.
According to Johnny Beavers, Omega Delta Phi member, "All of the cans will be given to GODTEL Ministries after the drive."
