The SFA Student Government Association in conjunction with the University is offering "Clean Up Your Ticket" as an opportunity to dismiss tickets. Students who receive a $24 ticket have the opportunity to dismiss tickets by doing three hours of community service.…

'World-class' musicians to perform at SFA
Four world-class musicians who comprise the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will present an evening of French music at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in W.M. Turner Auditorium as part of SFA's 2009-2010 "Ovation Season."

Biomass project brings more jobs to East Texas
Rep. Wayne Christian (R-Center) has announced that the 100-megawatt Nacogdoches Power LLC biomass project, located in Sacul, is under new ownership and will begin construction this fall.
In 2007, Christian, as vice chair of the House Regulated Industries Committee, carried the legislation that enabled this project and prompted one of the biggest economic investments ever in deep East Texas.…

On 10-9-2009 an officer was dispatched to Hall 16 in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, the officer discovered that a pull station had been pulled and there was not an emergency. There are no suspects.
